My 2021 M.Arch thesis work is an exploration into material culture. It examines how things are made, and how those manufacturing techniques and design trends have begun to distance everyday people from the physical reality of the things that they own.
What if we could rebuild our belongings if they break? What if they were made not to break in the first place? And what if we learned how to build for ourselves, so that the items we own would become personal?
