These stainless steel combs were created as a solution after I broke my favourite plastic comb by dropping it on the floor. I wanted to make something that would outlast its original owner, that could be recycled when it was no longer needed, and would provide a positive, tactile experience when in use.

I launched the combs on Kickstarter and successfully funded a production run. I was able to polish my design for metal laser cutting, and learned about tumbling as well as electropolishing finishing processes. The CNC machined aluminum stands came about as a way to fully dry the combs after washing, as well as display them in an elegant way when not in use.
