Inspired by IKEA, and by Craig Stover’s Trestle bed frame (where he challenged himself to build a bed with a single sheet of plywood), I set out to build some of my own flatpack furniture that could easily move with me, but would also be built to last, with no screws or fasteners to get lost along the way.

This was a big project that got a lot of help from friends and family, and also nearly brought the minivan to its knees. The furniture has held up great with everyday use for 3 years so far.

CNC cut at Boko Studio, from baltic birch plywood. Finished with a homemade danish oil, which is really beginning to patina nicely. When I have a chance, I’ll stage some proper photos.
